Present is a Present

Present is a Present

After a long walk, sweaty, but rejuvenated, I drove my bike. The morning misty air passed through my soul, promising a wonderful day ahead. The adrenaline pumped into me and I focused on one goal – to have a great day ahead.

Life never ceases to amaze me. When you look around, there is a tremendous phenomenon taking place. Celestial beings make your day start. The sun is beautiful when you witness it at the dawn. It appears that a huge ball of fire is in the eastern sky, calling all the living creatures to rise and shine and presenting yet another mystical and colorful day to celebrate the festival known as life.

Life is such a beautiful festival and it needs to be celebrated. Just like any holy festival, life has to be celebrated second by second. A simple way to do so is to live in the present. This moment is inevitable, as Mr. Jaggi Vasu Dev puts it. This moment, you call the present, is invariably precious; once this moment passes it will not return. Oblivious to this fact, most people prefer to stay either in the past with regrets or dreams about the future with fear, hopes, wishes, and ambitions, in the process neglecting the present. Sensible people do realize that the present is a present.

How wonderful would it be if all the adults took such Magic Mantra from dogs, birds, and babies? There would be a phenomenal shift in civilization, an exhilarating society, where divinity manifests. Exuberance in every heart and kindness in every mind, which would ultimately take us to the reality of life where a human being starts being human.

I wonder where the birds get inspiration to do the same job persistently without a sweat. I marvel at how dogs can be so pure with a passion for life and compassion towards others. I am amazed at how happy and certain a baby is about its guardian’s ability to protect it. Then, I comprehend that all of them live in the moment with absolute awareness and they would celebrate life each second. Forgive easily, laugh a lot, eat till the belly is full, and sleep till one gets charged. Not overdoing any.
